Why is MS tech support policies so bad?

I buy a brand new controller from Amazon and after 2 and half months the D-Pad is not very responsive and the X button constantly gets stuck. I contacted xbox support via chat and tell them the situation. "Jeff" from customer service sends me an email, asks
me for my invoice, ect and agrees to send me a replacement and return label to return the defective controller. I wait a couple of weeks and get nothing.

I decide to call Microsoft this time instead of requesting assistance online and after spending more than an hour (mostly dead air, hold and awkward small talk) with Monique on the phone, she tells me that I can't return my item because the time return the
item has expired. Please keep in mind that I already have email proof and confirmation of my return from Jeff online which was made BEFORE the 90 days. I mean, why couldn't she just tell me that within the first five minutes of the phone call? Why did it have
to take an hour to be denied a rightful return? And why is my return being denied when I put in the request before the 90 days and have proof of that?

Neither Monique, nor the very unprofessional supervisor I spoke to after that even ask of proof of my request being placed before the deadline, nor did they care to hear anything after that. It was all, no no no no and that's it. Ultimately, the supervisor
left me talking, said goodbye and hung up the phone.

This is horrible customer service.

Okay we have seen microsoft have delivered

Well, of course, CBOAT let this out of the bag.. .no tech and no policies because they are trying to hide their tech and policies.... that is why they started cancelling interviews.

 

Nothing downloads. Help please

lol welcome to xbox.. you must be new.. get used to that "amazing" support plus tons of copy and paste rehearsed replies that won't help at all. Oh and wait you have to deal with the enforcement group.. yeah.. a lovely staff is all I can say..

Sorry to hear about the frustrations with your replacement. To take a bit of a look into this, can you PM the refrence number to the first time you set up the repair before it hit 90 days? Are you also able to link a picture of the receipt with the controller
purchase date?
