    Why is modding offline or in private not allowed?


    Why can I not mod a game if all I'm going to do I mess around with friends in a private session then disable them when I go to play in public sessions, I mean its not like I'm going to permanently change the game or ruin anyone's experience, just have fun
    with some friends with mods, yet it is not allowed on Xbox

    Modding in RPGs --or, say, single-player games-- is quite different to modding in multiplayer shooters, for example.

    Because modding of any kind is strictly against the ToU/CoC & will get you banned.

    If you want to use mods then play pc games.

    IW wont ban but does Xbox?

    i recon it should be allowed in private matches if it doesn't effect multiplayer in any way. i've never really used a mod but i think why not add certain mods just for private/offline uses. it would add a little spice to the game i guess.

    Xbox doesn't care if you use a modded controller, there is nothing about it in the terms of conditions and things like that, BUT some games mw3,bo2, etc do have stated in their terms of conditions that you aren't allowed to use a modded controller, but you
    can still buy a modded controller an just don't use the functions online, only offline and in private matches. Hope I helped you enough :)

    Return it and get a non-modded console. Mods are not allowed on Live which is why you can't use it online.
