Why is MLB 2K13 no longer available on demand?

2K Sports dropped the ball by not making a baseball game this year. Now, those of us that enjoy playing baseball games on Xbox are stuck with RBI Baseball 14 as our only choice. I went to the Marketplace to buy MLB 2K13 on demand, only to find that it had
been removed. WTF! If we arent being given an option for this year, last years version should still be available. I mean, NBA 2K9 is still available in the Marketplace but I cant even get the most recent MLB game?!? This is total BS and it needs to be taken
care of STAT!

the nba 2k12 servers are down. only nba 2k13 and mlb 2k12 is working.

please bring mlb 2k13 on backward compatibility or make a new baseball game on xbox one

 

What can possibly change from one year to the next, that it requires yet another game?

 

Just buy the disc version online someplace

 

@THEOWENKILLER- Its not a matter of what changes so much, its that NONE of the previous versions of MLB 2K are available. Of course, most people like having roster updates and all that. Me, I just want a relatively current style of game, not just a retro
remake

 

@NYJETS1968- Im gonna have to end up doing that but MS wants us to go digital. One would think that they would give us the same options with digital media that they have with physical copies

 

MLB 2K series is finished. 2K decided not to renew their license with MLB. They announced this back in January. This is old news.

 

Sony is the best console for sports games.MS is only good for shooters like COD but the best way to experience COD is on Playstation since Activision annnounced Sony as the lead platform .This means MS will get the dumbed down version.

Sure it does. Lots of games get taken down due to licensing issues all the time. See Deadpool.

 

I understand what happened with Deadpool but 2K had the license when the game was made and losing the license only means that they cant continue making new games. Last years version should not be affected by that and it should still be available on demand.
Have you seen what the disc version is going for online? The CHEAPEST one I saw on an auction site was 40 bucks and thats USED. When was the last time that a used, outdated baseball game was selling for that much? They could be making a fortune just by continuing
to sell it.

 

More than likely when the licensing for the MLB with 2K ended, 2K sent a request to MS/Sony to pull all digital versions of the MLB franchise as well as updates from the online stores. I see this all the time when licensing ends for games. Your best bet
will be to find the game and buy it on disc. Unfortunately MLB 2K13 is a hot item, so it is commanding a premium price right now. GameStop sells them for $45 due to the demand. Until someone else comes along and makes a new MLB game for the Xbox platforms,
this will be the best you can get. Though I will say MLB The Show is the only game worth getting a PlayStation for.

 

You arent lying there. I have XB1, 360, PS3-4. The Show is BY FAR the best baseball game there is BUT most of my friends are one XBL and the majority of them are still on 360. MS really should take notice. I know people that only play sports games and they
basically play the game for whatever sport is in season at that time. At the moment, Xbox doesnt allow them to do that so I am sure that many of them will be going to a platform that does. No one is happy to pay 40+ for last years baseball game
