Why is Microsoft trying to charge me for already purchased games?

I purchased Minecraft a few years ago. I go to play it today and it says “Purchase refunded or preorder cancelled. If you didn’t update your payment methods.” Which is funny because I cancelled the card I used for game pass & forgot to update since the payments haven’t gone through all of a sudden I can’t play multiple games without repurchasing them. Can you explain why your company is trying to get extra money out of me? Oh & I won’t be resubscribing! Xo

Console. It happens when I play GTA, and Hitman as well. I may have bought GTA & Hitman through console although that shouldn’t affect me no longer having Gamepass correct? Also I know for a fact that I bought Minecraft separately.

You'll need to redownload it from your purchase history.

If the full game does not show in your download history and you're 100% sure you purchased it with this account, you would need to contact support directly to see if they can get it back for you. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or

Generally nothing gets removed from your download history. If something doesn't show there, then it usually means you haven't purchased it with that account.

It shows up as a trial game. There were times when i tried to join a friend and a message popped up saying it is a trial game and i need to download the full game. I restarted the game and i was able to join
