    Why is Microsoft not doing anything about the controller disconnect issue?


    I have seen a number of people reporting the same issue about series x and controllers disconnecting. It mainly occurs for me when the power trips out or the batteries need changing. You cannot reconnect the controller nor any spare. The only workaround is a hard reset. A known issue according to the support site and since launch, yet still no ETA on a fix. Happens to all my friends. Have a feeling that they haven't repaired it yet because it may involve a mass recall. They won't even accept Calls or Chat Support requests for the issue.

    So are they going to fix those elite 2 controllers or not?

    I do not recommend warranty work as i just waited 2 weeks to get a replacement controller instead if the issue’s fixed then what do you know day 2 my controller disconnect every 15min on cod MW this is my 3rd controller with same issue the only issue I’ve
    had with any is the disconnecting issue! And dont no why everyone us kept in the dark to what the problem is???

    Hi dannytremendous,

    Sorry to hear you are having issues with your controller and no one on this forum will be able to answer why Microsoft has not done anything about this.

    If Xbox Support are unable to help you, your only options are if the controller is fairly new, go back to the retailer you purchased the item from to see if there is
    anything they can do for you.

    I know this issue can be fixed with a hard reset but WHY is it happening in the first place? Why isn't Microsoft doing anything about ppl having to hard reset there xbox daily?

    This is not specific to the controller. I have the exact same issue. I have been on other message boards @ ign, and Ubisoft and there are people saying the same thing and it's not the controller. There is some huge bug that makes the controller disconnect
    any time you are noticed by a guard. It is horrible! I'm almost ready to throw my xbox out the window because of this and no one is doing anything about it.

    XBox360 Wireless Adapter drops connection to wireless router, but not hardwired.

    It usually disconnects after watching about the first ten minutes of a video or movie. Yes, it does get exceptionally hot and so that is why I put a fan next to it. I don't think it has anything to do with my router. That is why I am wondering if the
    heat is causing issues with the wireless card to have it stop working.
