Why is Madden 15 on my Xbox One

Woke up this morning went to play diablo and i had a notification that madden 15 was installed and ready to launch,My question is WHY.

Ive never played it or have any interest so why is it on my hard drive and how do i stop the xbox one downloading things ive never asked for .

I do not know how to get my game face for madden 15 or madden 25 for xbox one.

 

Check Sign in to your Microsoft account to see if it has been purchased on your account.

Also, if you have EA Access, it might have been loaded from the vault games.

 

Yes i do have ea access however what gives it the right to just download a 17 gig game i cant see a box to untick the permission.

 

Oh and i have not paid for this game and my account is on no other console.

 

The reason that "Madden '15" is loaded on your machine right now is because you signed up for a service without reading up on it first and understanding what it would get you.

You've got "EA Access" and it's just given you access.

Don't want it, delete the game.

Don't want auto-downloads from EA Access? Contact their support.

 

cheers your right i did not read it,at least i know why now.Hopefully they will soon let you tailor the service to meet personal requirements or at least ask before the download starts

 

Geez I could see the problem with this. Some ISP's have download caps for the month. If you didn't read everything EA access could steal all of your internets pretty quickly. Auto-downloading should be set to OFF from the start. I don't see how they benefit
from having it default ON.

 

So you joined a service to get games, Now you complain about getting the games????

Abassadors should be informed about such issues IMO......

 

Ambassadors are just people who either wanted the badge or hopefully wanted to help others.

His asking the question also brings an unknown feature to the attention of the Community.

That unknown feature is going to be especially relevant if you live in a 3rd World Country that caps your data downloads.

 

Also don't forget the oh so wonderful 'Fair Usage Policy' that most ISPs have.

There are very few packages that offer a truly unlimited service.

 

Yeah, gone are the shiny, pure days of the opt-in on t'internet and in video games. lol These are the days of the opt-out!

Because nothing makes customers/consumers more inclined to love a company or service (sarcasm) than being forced to look for the consumer, service, OPTIONS, that equate to CHOICE -- that are hidden somewhere in the install or in the service agreement or
whatever, and that have to be UN-CHECKED.

Whether it be data collection in video games that are on by default, looking at you EA PC games, or maybe re-upping your subscription automatically via your credit card... you'll want that checked by default, oh consumer with choice. Third-party partner
services that ride in on installs, information sharing between companies... or, indeed, installing a huge frickin' game you're not interested in onto your shiny new console.

Surely everybody will want THIS option checked by default? Right? 500GB storage, 40GB average per game... that storage isn't at a premium already is it? The 1TB's weren't in demand from the off, were they? lol

 

Huh, had no idea that this was a thing. I was not really interested in this EA access program anyways. You'd think they'd ask you if you want to download it at least.
