Why is it that I cannot gift consumables?

Hi. I have been trying to find ways to gift consumable items from various games to another friend, but that option is never available. For example, I wanted to gift 10 Loot Box consumables to another friend, but the option is never available. Are consumables
banned from gifting?

That is an in-game choice made by the game developer. You can contact the game developer support or post at their support forums.

if you want to gift vbucks, you can do it on fortnite itself

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Forums regarding your question. as stated in the following support article:

"Fortnite Vbucks, FIFA Points, and other virtual currencies cannot be sent as gifts."

Loot Boxes would fall under the same category therefor you are unable to gift these.
