I have been trying for the past two days to buy a twelve month music pass on my Xbox account. Apparently, I currently have a one month subscription that is due to expire on May 19th. I am trying to give Microsoft money and buy a 12 month pass but I keep
getting the message from Xbox that I'm not able to perform that task now.

Also, the whole reason I'm doing this is because I want to download an album onto my Windows phone:

1. I search for my desired album

2. I find my desired album; xbox states it costs $9.99

3. I touch the $9.99

4. Xbox lovingly tells me I don't have to purchase this because I can actually download it if I had a music pass.

5. I then recall that I think I still have a month pass that is good for another 10 days.

6. I check my account on xbox.com

7. I see that xbox is telling me I actually have a music pass that is good for another 10 days.

8. I go back to my phone.

9. my phone xbox interface tells me I don't have a xbox music pass.

Cannot download music using my xbox music pass on my WP8

Hi I've I had an "Xbox music pass" for a while now and just recently when I got my WP8 it started having issues with downloading music. When I go to download something it doesn't give me the option to do so, its only asking me to purchase the music. Why
is this occurring?

XBOX MUSIC PASS ON SECONDARY PC

Hi - I am not able to download music on my secondary PC. Secondary PC is windows 8 and i am signed into the music app with the same music pass id. When i click an album it shows me the option to BUY and not DOWNLOAD.

Hey there Okazakimon,

It sounds like your Music Pass is in a billing suspension. Go ahead and check your subscription at billing.microsoft.com and verify the status of all of your subscriptions (even one suspended subscription can actively cause issues like this). Make sure there
are no declined charges on your account as well.

I too have the same issue. My daughter nor wife can get an xbox music pass because they are on my family plan. Why does MSFT always make it hard for the folks that want to use their services the most?

So true, this is why I'll be ditching Xbox Music among so many other headaches and glitches. Hopefully this and the constant forgetting I'm a subscriber on my phone and denying me access to music goes away and gets remedied. Oh Microsoft, why don't you want
my money?

I understand what methods are available to purchase Xbox Music. My question is WHY can I not use the money that is already in my MS account to pay for Xbox Music? Its not like money has to be pulled from a different company. This is money that is already
there for me to spend on Xbox so why can I not use it to purchase a month of Xbox Music?
