    Why is it so hard to get a return shipping label?


    I was one of the "lucky" ones who's pre-ordered Series X was borked out of the box.

    MS was kind enough to process an advanced exchange for me. Device was shipped out on Monday, and I received it Tuesday. That turn around was amazing! Super happy about that.

    The annoying part of this story, is that my new device that I received on Tuesday didn't include the return shipping label to send the borked Series X back to MS. I requested a call back to discuss that. I got a call back from the automated system 115 mins
    later, indicating there was nobody available to speak with and that I needed to try later.

    Tried the next day (Wednesday), got the call back. Was placed on hold for 30 mins by the guy I was speaking with. He comes back and says he has to transfer me to another department to get it sorted. That was another 30 mins of holding to speak to someone
    new. I needed to end the call before anyone answered the line. **This is also crappy! I heard Larry Hyrb say the same 5 things over and over and over again. Horrible "hold music"!

    So I requested another call back later in the day. Got that call back, to be told I needed to wait until "tomorrow" - This would be Thursday, yesterday, and I would have my return shipping label emailed to me.

    Guess what, it hasn't arrived.

    Now I'm requesting another call back to try and get this sorted. Sweet Jesus, MS. Just do your part, and give me the damn label! You gave me a failed piece of hardware, and no I'm not paying to send the faulty device back to you! As part of the advanced
    exchange, they took a hold on my CC for more than the unit retails for here in Canada (yes I've taken taxes into account) So I'll end up being charged for 2 Series X's unless they get this $H** sorted. I'm quite frustrated with this!

    Anyone else experience this nonsense?

    ***The suggestion from MS' BOT is to go to Device Services and sign-in / Click on the device associated with my Service Request / Click Repair Order / Click Get Shipping Label <----- This doesn't exist anywhere in my account/devices site.

    Hi there,

    Microsoft/xbox do not include a return label in the box.

    If you wish to send your device back you would need to start a service order once the order request is complete you will have a return label emailed to you

    To start an order please go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/ and under your device please select more details > service > start order

    When I began this journey, the rep who initiated my advanced exchanged advised me the return label would be in the box. The subsequent people I spoke with were confused why one wasn't included...1 of the reps actually had me go to the box the new device came
    in, and said the shipping label should be on the box. Yeah! The shipping label to get the device to me. Comeon!

    As mentioned at the bottom of my initial post, by accounts/devices section doesn't offer me an option that fits. If I try to start a whole new one, I can't choose anything other than "Accessory" ie. Kinect, controller, etc. Not what I need.

    Not receiving Shipping Label via email for Xbox One S return.

    Why is this so difficult? Same exact thing. A Web page that returns literally, "[ ]", when one clicks the button "Get Shipping Label".

    Are you saying an email comes with the shipping label? I got an email about the return process, and logged in one sees what the OP shows when clicking "Get Shipping Label" ... taken to a page of "[ ]"

    If you contact UPS either by phone or via their website you can organise for them to collect it from your house or where ever you prefer to have it collected from.

    I didn't get a shipping label to return my Kinect for repair ,I got a order receipt but on label for FedEx
