    Why is Gears of War: Judgement Region Locked? - I feel cheated!


    Can you guy's please explain to me why "Gears of War: Judgement" is region locked? I'm 35 years old and live in South Africa and I dont understand why it's region locked, but I'm able to buy it in the shops?

    I believe that XBOX Live is unfair this way.

    Zathesis, how on earth did you unlock every achievement for Oblivion, Halo: Reach, Gears of War 3, Halo 4, Gears of War: Judgement, and others all in one day, 11/27/13? I think you cheated.

    Gears 4 bundle code issue

    Not all of the Gears games are region locked which is why some work and some don't. Gears 2 and Judgement should both work. It's just 1 and 3 that are region locked. You would need to migrate your account region to Norway in order for them to work.

    Why is Gears of War: Judgement Region Locked? - I feel cheated!

    It is region locked due to the international laws that control content along with differences in distibution rights

    Gears of war among other m rated games tend to have content that isnt universally allowed in all regions

    You can always download content if your account region matches your actual region

    Why dont you just match your actual region

    South africa is a xbox live region

    It is also in the terms of use to match your actual region

    You can always get disk based games and. Dlc

    Since you are an xbox live region it would be the fine for you to download the southafrican version of the game not north american or uk but the south african version all disk versions would be your local versions

    For the same reason as above. That's not uncommon. Gears of War 1 and 3 were region locked when they were released, but Gears of War 2 and Gears of War Judgement were not. It just had to do with certain aspects of those games.
