    Why is gaming on Windows 10 as an Xbox Live Player Such a Terrible Experience?


    Ive been an Xbox/Microsoft fanboy for over 10 years.

    I recently switched from console to PC expecting an enhanced gaming experience.

    And everyday I ask myself, why is it that Microsoft, one of the greatest software developers of all time, can not get it right for PC gamers?

    I have plenty of complaints, but the 2 big ones that are really driving me crazy right now are:

    1: Why do I need 3?!?!?!? THREE?!?!?! applications to be able to game and communicate with my Xbox Live Friends?!?!?!?!?

    One would think that Microsoft of all people would be able to devise a way to incorporate all of the features of these three apps into just one...enjoyable.... experience....?

    Xbox App to download, play games, and message friends (but cant join party chat?)

    Console Companion is the easiest to use for communicating with friends via party chat, or just keeping up with who is online or what they are playing

    And then Gamebar for recording clips... which I understand you can use for party chat and messaging, but its clunky and "functional" at best.

    2: Great, I can record clips with game bar..... BUT I CANT UPLOAD THEM TO XBOX LIVE OR SHARE THEM WITH FRIENDS VIA XBOX CHAT?!?!?!?

    My mind is just completely boggled by this.

    The point of this post is 1, to vent (thank you). 2, to create a conversation around this. 3, is there something I'm missing or a reason for this madness? and 4) Microsoft, please for the love of all, get it right....

    getting ready for e3, it will be all windows 10 xbox games and windows 10 this and windows 10 that, as the xbox is now windows 10 they will just focus on anything and everything for windows 10, from this summer there probably won't be a single game that
    is exclusive to the console, it will be all windows 10 only, but that also means the pc games will either go up in price or the xbox games will drop to the same level as pc, and why will pc be able to use xbox live for free yet xbox users have to pay. we will
    see whats in store if it fails e3 then i may just give it up.

    Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, you will need to click the install to download any digital content for PC.

    If you have a Windows 10 device, you can now use the Xbox app to connect to the Xbox Live service.

    Are games that I've downloaded to my Xbox via my Xbox Game Pass subscription, but have not bought, supposed to be included in the "My Library" list in the Microsoft Store app on my PC?

    Why, then, do games that I downloaded via my Xbox Live Gold subscription appear in my library in the Microsoft Store app for Windows 10?
