Why is all digital called an S model?

Should the discleds model be considered a seoarate model than an S? Diesn't S means "plays 4k movies", which it obviously cannot do due to a lack id a disc. Shouldn't be called an Xbox One D, because a D is not an S, which must play 4k movies but can"t
play 4k games?

I understood that Ghostbusters reference! (At least I hope you're referring to Ghostbusters here).

As the others already explained: S stands for "Slim", as the S model was "slimmer" than the original Xbox One.

And the "Xbox One S all digital edition" is able to play streaming
4K content. 4k doesn't necessarily require a 4K BluRay disc.

Netflix and Amazon Prime Video (and probably other streaming services) already feature streaming 4K content the One S and One S All Digital Edition (and the One X) can play.

Its possible to download 4k movies so the fact that it doesnt have a disc doesnt mean anything. I'm assuming it isn't able to play 4k games since its labelled and 'S' not an 'X'.

I always considered it to be the S model but without disc. So didn't question it before.

Should it be simply called Xbox Digital then?

Its basically an s except no disc drive. You can olay 4k games and watch movies but they need to be digital versions of course.

I believe when it was released it was nick named the xbox sad. (S all digital)

Maybe as it's a simple console. It still dose everything the others do, just no disc.

Its meant for down loading 4k movies and games directly from the store . 👍
