Why I Won't Buy Another Xbox One Again.

Just to start off, thank you for reading this, taking your time to share my pain through the Xbox one experience.

I bought my first Xbox one on day one of release... When I got to the store they ran out of the day one consoles and was selling standard consoles with Fifa, this was the 500gb model. I spent £400 on this console and was overly excited to play with it. By
the way this was the 4th store I went to as every store previous had sold out this was 20+ miles out my way. Being a previous xbox 360 owner I was determined to get this!

Got home at 11:30pm, excited to play fifa, but instead was savaged by a huge install which took all night until I woke up in the morning to install because every other Xbox purchaser was doing the same thing and the servers went down.

I then had to install fifa onto the hard drive, no issue took another couple of hours... Days went by fifa was great.

When purchasing this Xbox console I was lead to believe that because games where being made digital they would be cheaper, a lot more cheaper than purchasing the solid game from a shop. This couldn't be further from the truth the game I wanted at the time
was £20 more than what it was on hard copy. Because I live quite far from a shop and didn't want to pay taxi fees to get there I was stuck with digital downloads.

It took me 2 months to save up "I was in college at the time" to purchase my first game. I believe it was call of duty. Very much enjoyed the game, for a while, then as all COD fans will know it had gone down hill, so about a month or 2 went by before I
got bored.

Being in college and realising how much I had spent on the Xbox one I sold it, wiped the whole Xbox lost both games on there but still managed to get £270 for it, so not too bad.

A couple of years went by and I was missing the Xbox a lot, and thought to myself, its been a long time, surely the xbox one is amazing now.

Purchased a new one again, and had money to spend this time as I was in a decent job.

Downloaded all games STILL massively more expensive than in stores, I think after the 5th game I downloaded I ran out of space, which was ok because I had 2 cod titles on there and only played Infinite warfare. so deleted the other to make space. But then
GTA5 came out which took nearly 100gb of storage FOR ONE GAME. I had to delete another game. I could see what the future was bringing with this xbox. I'd have to pay for and external hard drive. I was not willing to pay any more for the xbox! Overall I had
12 games, cost me well over £300. Because all the games needed updating on the xbox more storage was needed again and again had to delete games.

Well I had enough, the games created for the xbox one has taken the fun out of playing. I loved video games, I grew up from the SNES upwards, sorry SEGA mega drive I belive was sooner, I owned original gameboy; colour, sp, advanced etc... I loved games.

Games now a days are all about how much money you have. Pay £30 and you can get 5 extra maps and a free gun and camo etc... You can get car packs, map packs, skins, just everything now has a price. INSTEAD of playing a game, completing the campaign and unlocking
these items you can now just purchase ruined what gaming was about for me. So sick of the box now I decided to sell it 2 weeks ago.

OMG How hard it was to sell my XBOX one on ebay with the games on the console. My email on the console was my personal account with over 5000 emails and a one drive with personal pictures and documents on there. I got onto microsoft support and asked them
how am I meant to sell my xbox for the person and keep the games on the xbox. Turns out you cant sell your xbox one with the downloaded games. You have to sell your xbox one with your gaming profile with the email connected to that profile WHAT???

So I thought thats fine Ill just change the email. No you cant do that, to change the email you have to create a alias, and then delete primary email and make alias primary, BUT when the alias email is made primary, your personal email that you just deleted
cant be used to sign into the 5000 emails you have. Now you have to sign in with the new primary email to view emails. You can see where this is an issue. You have made a brand new email address for your gamertag for the person purchasing your xbox one, and
they can still use the new email address to sign into your emails and one drive as technically you have just changed the email to the same account. The account doesn't change your email does.

So back onto microsoft support, who had no idea why this was happening "APPARENTLY" as when you sit back and think there is no way around this. They told me to make a third party email e.g. yahoo email to sign in. However I done this and yes it still had
access to all my emails and one drive.

No one could email me on my personal email address no more as it had changed to the alias email address I made with yahoo and made primary, next I faced a decision.

I had to delete all 5000 emails, and every item on the one drive so the new user could not see any of them. Now no one can email me and they cant look at what I had on their previous...

This took 2 days to complete a massive waste of time. I sold the xbox for a rubbish £150 with the 12 games, £15 went to ebay fees. £4 went to paypal fees and because it was hench and heavy royal mail charged £22 to send it off. the FEES never bothered me
what bothered me is how cheap the xbox one went for. I was gutted. I had lost so much money through these xbox ones I nearly had a break down.

I mainly sold it because I have just had a daughter, and wanted to pay for clothes and milk powder etc... some toys and birthday presents. well after everything 2 days lost of time, countless monies lost through downloading games instead of purchasing hard
copies, and 2 xbox one purchases, just destroyed my soul for loving games...

I miss the xbox one now, but no way am I going down that road again, I am wounded emotionally through whats happened and I am gutted. I loved halo wars and have seen number 2 has just come out. Just wont be happening now.

This is my xbox story, sorry I couldn't have many nice things to say about it. Just left feeling poor and emotionally drained.

Console Banned

Exactly, they won't even tell you why you were banned, so why would i go buy another xbox when they can just ban me again for what...i have NO idea!

 

Xbox One will not support 360 Steering Wheels!!!

If you buy the Xbox One wheel (I have no idea why anyone would at that price) that's at least another 5 years you won't have to buy another wheel.

There is no mistake in the branding either. Unless everything associated with Xbox is supposed to work on the next console...

Zero gamer score. No friends or followers. I smell something.

 

Provided the Xbox One was your Home console you would have been able to delete your account from the console and the new owner would have retained access to the games on it, until at least you tasted the gaming bug again and made a new Xbox One your Home
machine.

As to the game size complaint. Welcome to the modern era of gaming. I have over 4tb of storage in my PC because I can't be bothered to delete games once I've finished with them. From my understanding using an external drive on the Xbox is better for it, as
the internal drive is a 5400rpm traditional hard drive.

 

Why didn't you stick with physical copies?
