Why I cannot buy xbox 360 games from xbox one?

I have paypal account linked to my xbox account. I can buy xbox one games with no problem. But when I try to buy backward compatible games like Red Dead Redemption, I always get response "Sorry your purchase cannot be completed at this time". How to solve
this?

I use US Account as my own country is not region listed.

What I have tried?

- Purchase using my XBox One S console.

- Buy using marketplace.xbox.com with USA VPN.

- Buy using marketplace.xbox.com without USA VPN .

I really want to play Red Dead Redemption but cannot buy this game.

I am trying to buy Xbox 360 game on Xbox one store. And it says I can't buy it.

I am trying to buy an Xbox 360 game from the Xbox one store, and I keep getting "Sorry your purchase cannot be completed at this time please try again." I was wondering why this is a reoccurring message.

Xbox please fix the buying backward compatibility games bug!!!!!

When is Microsoft going to fix the issue that we are all having with buying the backward compatibility games on our xbox ones consoles????

I do not have an Xbox 360 console so therefore cannot buy the games on there.

Why put the 360 games on the Xbox one if we cannot buy them?

Surely Microsoft is losing alot of money by not fixing this bug which has been going on for years now!!!

Plus I cannot change my Avatars either!!!

Your account is set to a specific country, using a VPN won't change this.

Since your own country isn't listed, you need to use chat support: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

You can buy BC games on disc instead of digital download purchases. You'll still need Live to download the game (disc is used to verify ownership).

You'll save a fair bit of money this way. I bought four games last week on disc, the same money would only bought me one 360 game from Live.

If you buy one of those Xbox cards coming in various denominations ala apple or Google play, you can purchase Xbox one games on your Xbox one WITHOUT a credit card. BUT if you buy an Xbox 360 game on the Xbox one you CANNOT use the Xbox cards you have to
use a credit card. Why?

I actually did, and it gave me some kind of error message saying "Sorry. Your purchase cannot be complete at this time. Please try again.". I mean I think my purchase was in fact locked from your system and I'm trying to buy something from my Xbox 360. I can actually purchase an item on the Xbox One, but I still don't understand why I'm unable to buy anything from the 360 console or website.

You can purchase games using currency on their respective consoles: You can use currency to buy Xbox 360 games ON the Xbox 360 just like you can buy Xbox One games ON the Xbox One, but you cannot purchase Xbox 360 games on an Xbox One using microsoft currency.
