Why hasn't there been a Planet of the Apes game?

Seems to be a major untapped and fresh idea... Either based on the new movie or based on the original movie. Play as either human or ape, campaign from human and ape perspectives, online versus matches, etc...

Wrong code received

I recently received a code from Xbox live that said it was dawn of the planet of the apes, however, once redeemed it turned out to be planet of the apes, a films over 10 years older.

It is because developers need to take into account the risk of not gaining any profit from a game. Henceforth, popular franchises have considerably less risk as opposed to starting a new IP.

With that being said, they (the developers) need to consider the resource cost & development time for a game.

A perfect example of this is the "Call Of Duty" franchise. Every year, a new game comes out & it turns out a profit for that developer because it has such a huge fan base.

Similar titles that follow the trend of a yearly release schedule (and understandably so) are the WWE Wrestling games. If you take a look at the Smackdown vs Raw era (before WWE 2K12 and onwards), they basically just "copy & paste" the previous game while
making minor tweaks / adding new content over the old content.

Thus, the development cycle of the Call Of Duty & WWE games tend to be short because it isn't like starting from the ground up every single time a new game is made (a perfect example of this is the Elder Scrolls games; compare TES 4 Oblivion to TES 5 Skyrim).

I would recommend a full shut down and reboot of your console. If this doesnt resolve the issue I would then recommend deleting and reinstalling the game.

if this is happening on the Xbox One console please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

if that doesn't help try uninstalling the game, power cycling the console like before and reinstall the game.

I think it's just the quality of the game like Brandiesel said. You may have a corrupted download though so deleting the game and clearing things like the MAC address or local saved games before installing again may help as well

I honestly think the speech being off is just the low budget of the game. I've heard others complain of the same thing.
