    Why hasn't my Xbox One updated?


    From what I understand the April update rolled out yesterday for Xbox One. It's been almost 2 days and I haven't had an update download. Are some consoles getting it before others?

    ok. I just bought an xbox one my neighbor has an xbox360. I haven't got his friends request and he hasn't got mine I don't understand why?

    I believe it has been updated because I am seeing the 50 hz on my blu ray options and it looks like the friend notifications have appeared. I guess it auto updated during the night? *shrugs

    Ya, unless you went in and change the power settings on your X1 then you should be on the instant-on power mode. Which means you get the updates automatically when you turn the system off.

    If you want to check, just in case, go to settings -> system -> console info and see what your OS version is. The most current version is 6.2.10812.0 fre.

    First, thank you so much for contacting us regarding your inquiry/ concern.

    I do look forward to resolving this problem together! :)

    With the changes to the Gamertag system back in 2019. We are now provided our OG tag that will be present in older titles that don't support the new Tag system just yet and we will have the new tag we create that will appear in games released after 2019 so essentially, we will have 2 tags.

    Tags can take up to 24 hours to update as well.

    Yes. Since the symbol is not recognized everywhere, the old tag is kept and used in areas that do not support the symbol.
