Why hasn't Microsoft generated unique console pre-order links for active or recently active...

Sorry to hear about what happened. Kindly check your account order history from https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/ if you can see recent purchases using your Microsoft balance. You may check your pre-ordered games (if you have pre-orders) as possible it was taken as part of your pre-order payment.

Heres the way I see it. The only real reason I can think of as to why MS is not activating the digital copy is so they can make as much money as possible on the "Digital Pre-Order" Page for Destiny. It's it very unfortunate as they made it sound like the
pre-order is going away 2 days ago saying it's the "Last chance." And that's when I ordered it. Didn't know Pre-order would go on until the same day let alone a couple hours until activation.

Cmon MS. Please activate the servers already. This is absolutely not fair to those who purchased digitally in anticipation of playing it first compared to those getting a physical copy.

The system doesn't see things like spaces, as making a gamertag unique. So since there is another account with that tag, you'll get the suffix. Gamertags are also in use on other Microsoft services, so even if it hasn't been active on Xbox, it may be in use somewhere else.

I think the closest you can get to 'tracking' is via your account. If your profile is still on the xbox and its being used you can view recent activity, more info on how to do this is at the link below

Also, I'd like to add there is a link for mid-night sales active on the website. Sadly, I'd have to drive up to Harrisburg to get it, and my pre-order was for pickup in Lancaster.
