You done need file verification along as you are using the same account on the console

HOWEVER IF YOU are using pc you need tk install the games due to the registry and encryption

the encryption yes, not because of the registry as all the other launchers work fine by finding the games, and they don't get installed they just run from where they are.

I believe it's more a choice than a technical limitation, but microsoft doesn't even have file verification in the app on the pc, I believe it could be a future functionality, but microsoft doesn't show interest in a feature like this.

unlike most other launchers the gamepass games are in an encrypted folder and this needs clearing, then the long task of downloading everything again. Microsoft have not added the locate and verify files ability as the folders are encrypted to that one windows install.
