Why has the 'Enforcement' rules not been fixed yet?

I'd like to make it clear that by no means am I claiming this is the end of the world or anything but rather, I want to point out how ridiculous the rules are and how easy it is to be banned and/or suspended.

I have received a 1 day communications ban because I said the F word one time in a voice message to someone who was sending me mass messages raging at me for my friend team killing them on Rainbow Six Siege. I didn't bicker or argue. I just said one word
one time and I get banned while they likely don't get any penalty at all.

People receive bans like this or worse all of the time for the smallest little things and most of the time, it's on M rated games where things like cursing is (or should be) perfectly acceptable. Not to mention that people like me buy Xbox products and support
the company, so what gives them the right to ban us for swearing whether or purpose or by accident every once and a while when we buy the Xbox Live in the first place?

If these rules must be enforced, so be it but I think they need to be re-hauled to take things like context into account rather then just banning someone because they heard a word they don't like.
[Mod Removed - Profanity], I play mostly M rated games and hardly talk in game chat at all in the first place.

If Microsoft wants to convince people to stop buying their products and supporting them, going down this road of Ultra Censorship and Biased banning will do the trick.

There are certain things that despite being a word are punishable, in my opinion it is not entirely fair in titles that are for adults, but if you receive insults or inappropriate behavior I also invite you to report

Harassment will also get you banned. So no, you wouldn't face zero consequences.

Suspensions/bans on the 360 were also a thing. At that time the enforcement team used the forums and people were constantly getting suspended for language. I think the ranking system you're referring to is the rep system which is still in place on the One.
The rep system on the 360 was pretty broken.

I disagree. I think you should revert back to how things used to be instead of forcing players to live in anti-social echo chambers and take context into account instead of banning innocent players who pay the salaries of those who work at Microsoft and
Xbox like Phil Spencer.

Xbox is great and I think this is the only major issue I see with the service and console. Would be great if someone actually cared enough to take this stuff into account

When you play on live you agree to the code of conduct, there's a difference between trash talk and insults.Just because a game is rated M it doesn't authorise anyone to insult other players. Next time, you should just report the message and block the
person without answering back as this can get you banned. You have to remember that on xbox live there are people of all ages and from all over the world with different sensibilities.

The world doesn’t cater to everyones needs and neither do I, especially when I’m not the one starting the problem and the “issue” at hand is taking place or starting on an M rated game, y’know, M rated games have cursing, sexual content, use of tobacco,
blood and gore and so on and so forth so what’s up with the blatant double standard?

there is a difference between hearing characters swearing within the context of a game (or film or tv show) and having someone swear at you. no matter how immersive the game is you know that the character isn't attacking you personally, but if someone sends
you a message with profanity in it or swears at you in party/game chat then it is personal.
