Why has my Xbox suddenly decided it doesn’t want to sign in

Hello Cameron, we've received some similar occurrences regarding Xbox 360 logins and also games in backward compatibility on Xbox One, while we have no official position from Microsoft regarding this issue.

I was told to post my problem here by the Xbox Chat support. Well my Gamertag has changed suddenly. I'm not sure why since i've had the same gamertag for over 5 years. When I signed into my account I got an error message telling me to redownload my account
so I did. When I signed into my account my Gamertag changed from CallMeDaddyBoy to . All I want is to able to get my old Gamertag back. I don't understand why Xbox would change it.

Just experienced this problem for anyone out there googling a fix. I soent a good bit of tine looking how to fix it and decided to just sign out if my profile while the xbox was on and sign back in and it worked for me. Thought about hard resetting and uninstalling
my acclunt like peoole suggested. But wanted to try and fine and easier route before attempting them

This doesn’t work as of now, don’t get why microsoft is sending out error codes that don’t exist whatsoever. All downloaded games on my console won’t start up at all, not going to uninstall might just switch to PC if this is not addressed in 24 hours.

i’m gamesharing with a friend i know and he has my account. after a while i didn’t want him to have access to my account anymore. so i stopped gamesharing with him for a while and made a pin. so everything time i want to sign in i have to enter a pin, but he doesn’t. he doesn’t need to put in my pin apparently. i don’t want him to buy something without my permission but i can’t do anything. how can i stop my friend from entering my account?

This is exactly one of the reasons why sharing account details with someone is actually against the terms of service and puts both you and your friend at risk of being banned.

Yeah i checked and it didn’t work my internet connection is fine but my xbox still doesn’t let me sign in, i’ve reseted my xbox and my internet and my xbox is the only thing that has problems
