Why Has My Xbox One Been Banned

okay does microsoft have to fully investigate all complaints before making a ban or do they just take the complaints as true?

What if you have a refurbished Xbox from Microsoft. I sent my Xbox in sometime around January to be worked on because of the "red ring of death" lawsuit, which allowed it to be worked on under warranty. I have not modded my xbox in any way, is it possible
that my xbox has been banned because it was refurbished from Microsoft?

All of you have done something so egregiously bad that MS wants nothing more to do with your console.

It's so bad so that MS has basically written your console off as a valued customer so much so that they DON'T want to supply any information as to why beyond the generic description, or any way to try to repeal the ban.

You can still play it offline, they just don't want it on the LIVE service. If you really want to get back on Live, pay the fine (i.e. another xbox console). If you don't want (or can't) pay for a new one, you lose out on getting on Live again.

I've seen the forum posts on TheTechGame and others where they basically tell people to lie on these forums and to keep on proclaiming innocence. I've had a change of heart on this. I am now basically assuming that MS is 100% correct on this, and that
basically everyone is lying, or at best case, someone in their household is lying to them (son, daughter, etc.) I think it's the safe way to go, and I will no encourage these people.

In any case, even TheTechGame admits that lying on these boards will do nothing for consolebans, so all of you (or people in your family) are wasting your time.

Microsoft do not un-ban previously banned consoles as they are permanent. They do not ban people's consoles/accounts lightly, they do so after several investigations.

The most common reason for a banned console is modifying it, but there are other reasons such as marketplace theft.



You might want to post in section 14 in order to get an official answer. Although they might just delete your thread and post a link like below as they do not discuss console bans.
