Why has live gone down hill?

@cheesy. Yeah something is up, I downloaded Dying light in under an hour on release.

Azure has more than 300.000 servers total, I'm sure I read somewhere that ms has 1.000.000 servers. Don't quote me on that though lol.

Only problem i have had is friends list going, click on it and its fine again

 

I don't know if the service itself has gone "down hill", but there seems to be more issues than normal. I can understand people's frustrations, but the majority of the issues I've noticed have to do with the friends list. At least the entire service isn't
shut off while this maintenance stuff is going on.

 

Whenever my FL isnt showing I change the view to "Follower" then change it back and its fine and dandy

 

As someone said the other day, new tech = new problems.

They also said when the 360 was released it had a few issues aswell early on but it settled down/improved as time went on so I'm sure it will be the same with the Xbox One.

 

I think it's still way better than PSN but it has had it's problems. The Live servers are just not what they used to be. You can almost count on encountering a problem every week. It could be a problem with content download and usage, or the friends list
going down. Don't get me wrong. I have no ill will towards MS or Sony for that matter. I love both companies. I just think they need to invest in new servers. With all of the money both companies make I'm sure they can afford it. Just give your gamers advanced
notice then take the servers offline for a few days and install the new servers. I would rather have Live taken offline and have new servers put in then have it online and always encountering issues. I just want my $60 that I paid towards using a great service
to actually be put to good use than always having something wrong with it.
