    Why gold?


    Why do we have to pay gold for any multiplayer game? There is even a free multiplayer game for everyone, but you need to pay to play, so it doesn't make any sense. I don't know what Microsoft's intention is for this, but I just have my Xbox collecting dust
    because we don't afford gold membership. We technically wasted our money on overwatch, origins edition on the Xbox, but never was able to play it. Why couldn't there just be a life-time gold membership, or no membership at all? Whats the point?

    Why gold?

    Xbox Live is the service responsible for connecting Xbox players together in multiplayer games worldwide, among other features. For starters, the funds go toward maintaining the Xbox Live server infrastructure and paying the Microsoft employees in charge
    of managing it.

    As far as your purchase of Overwatch goes, I'm not sure what to tell you. It
    is a multiplayer-only game, and it even states that it requires Xbox Live Gold to play.
