Why don't Xbox One Controllers Have Gyro?

I've been playing Steam games with a Nintendo Switch Pro controller this last year, but I got hit with the dreaded joystick drift that they refuse to acknowledge the existence of.
I figured its time for an upgrade so I went ahead and ordered an Xbox One controller because I've read they do not get drift.
Setting up controls for Halo Infinite after getting it home, I realize there's a lack of gyroscopic controls!
Aren't gyro controls industry standard at this point? How can people be expected to aim properly with such stiff movements?
Are there plans to release a controller with gyro?

xbox will probably never use that feature. and to let you know, xbox controllers are notorious for stick drift on the left stick, especially if you play a lot of games that require that pressed down to run.

Hopefully Xbox catches up to the rest on this feature soon. Nintendo and Switch already have it in their controllers, but then the next hurdle would be the devs wanting to implement it in their games.

There are so many shooter games I'd like to play with Gyro on Xbox, Halo Infinite would be great and now they own Call of Duty. Fingers crossed 🤞

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but none of the existing Xbox controllers support gyro controls. Hopefully it's something MS considers for a future revision of the controller though, cos I agree that gyro controls are very useful!

No.any device that is not.labeled made for.xbox.isn't.allowed

That includes devices meant to bypass the in-game restrictions

You can get a XAC which is made for xbox
