Why don't MS Xbox produce a simple wired controller?

Why don't Microsoft produce a straight up wired controller. The plug and play is really poor because the batteries run out and the connecting port in the handset gets looser with time.

When I want to pick up and play my games, I want to do just that. I don't want to be fooling around trying to get the batteries to charge or trying to make sure that the connecting lead stays in the port.

Why can't you just simply produce a fixed wired controller for players like me who aren’t worried about looking hip and cool and just want your hardware to actually work. That way I have no worries about if it's going to get a charge or even where the controller
is. And then when I have finished, I can put the controller under the shelf so it's tidily away.

Why, in your infinite 'we're all wireless' pretentiousness can you not offer a simple solution to allow your customers to simply get on with the gaming when they want to? It always has to be ‘buy this and then buy this and then don’t forget that’.

Just another example of another corporate not bothering about it's customers but offering a tiresome array of impractical products.

I have tried some of the other wired controllers out their but they are shoddily built as they aren't official Microsoft products.

Thanks guys for putting more hurdles in the way of me playing my games or using my Xbox.

to be honest I think wireless control is so much better, the trend of the future is all the wires being replaced.

Actually it's a real good question, Microsoft launch that type of controller on Xbox 360 and will be a great option for someone.

But I don't think they launch that controller this gen.

PDP, PowerA, and Hyperkin are among the most well known and trusted manufacturers of peripherals for a lot of companies when it comes to producing quality products and projects... wired controllers being among them. I'd recommend getting a wired controller
from the PDP brand.

Microsoft, in recent years, has strayed away from directly producing a wired controller for what could be a few reasons. Like I kind of said, products are projects and with the wireless controller ultimately being the most popular right now... from a business
perspective it wouldn't make sense for them to fund a wired controller personally as there are countless more intuitive projects worth their time and money. So they give the rights out to other people to make the product for them so they can focus on other
things.

Supply and demand really. There probably isn't enough demand for them to produce it when a third party will do just as well and fill that void.

There are actually plenty of wired controllers out there. Try amazon or walmart maybe a simple search on your search engine.
