Why Don't I have "level 9 story?"

hey guys....I ranked up to 11 playing crucible and replaying lower levels with friends...when I went back to the story I finished the 2 level 8 stories and Venus unlocked....The funny part is, I see level 10...but no level 9 story anywhere..moon earth or
venus..

Anyone know why?

His level is locked in when you get to the area. He does drop a Hellfire.

The number you see near the mission is not the mission level but the level of enemies and the so the level your char should be before entering.

There could be several 8 level mission (like there are) and no 9 and it still makes sense

You gain levels by making posts. The exact number of posts to hit each level is unknown. Moderators do have ability to move you up and down in level but don't count on that. The levels are 0-9. Level 0 is reserved for very special people. And to get to level
9 is going to require years and years of making posts. Currently there are around 6-7 level 8s that post consistently and have been for years. But don't worry about the levels or icons just be helpful and considerate and have fun
