Why don't ALL games take advantage of FPS boost?

MS has come up with a formidable gaming machine and I'm really loving the FPS Boost feature. However, why haven't more games been added to utilize it? for example, I'd love to see these make it to FPS Boost:

* Ride 2 and 3

* FH1

* GR Wildlands

* Dead Space 1

* Batman AK

* RDR 1 and 2 (pretty please!)

These are just a small handful of games from my library for which I'd love to see FPS Boost - naturally, everyone will have different tastes but these are highly popular games with rave reviews, so how come they are not on the FPS Boost list?

Will MS eventually make all Xbox One and X360 games take advantage of FPS Boost?

Another reason that I'd read about was that for some games not getting FPS boosts is that the developers simply don't want their game to be boosted because they may already be working on "re-mastered" version of said game.

As far as I'm aware, FPS boost was part of the Xbox backwards compatibility project, a project that has unfortunately been discontinued. No more BC team means no more games with FPS boost.

It's was not as simple as putting a bit of code into a game and unlocking the frame rate. Not a simple fix at all. If it had of been, hundreds of games would have had the boost applied. Sometimes upping the frame rate on certain games can actually break a game. I've seen this issue on older PC titles.

This is a community forum, so we can't say for sure if Microsoft will enable FPS boost on more games in the future, but for now at least that's not the case.

For Xbox One games like RDR2, it's up to the developer now to release a patch/update to make their game run at a higher frame rate.

FPS boost is done at the Direct3D API level rather than the game level, no code is changed and this is why it's such a difficult process to implement. And, as your probably aware, it's not as simple as getting to 60 or a 120Hz and that's it, the whole game has to tested for any game breaking bugs and glitches.

This a problem I've seen on PC games and it can cause issues from weird/broken physics to crashes and lockups.

That makes sense - if only more developers would release patches that would be so insanely awesome! Especially large open world games like RDR and GR WL. Mad Max got one and it looks beyond sweet.

The FPS Boost part of the program, from what I can tell, has simply been shelved rather than being outright cancelled like the BC program...apparently it's due to the limitations of the processes they use.
