Why doesn’t preloading a game work?

Has anyone else been able to get a preordered game to open when it’s available? Every single game I’ve pre-downloaded hasn’t worked upon release. It’ll alway tell me to come back when the game is live even though it is. I have to reinstall the game when it finally comes out which totally defeats the purpose of predownloading. Anyone know how to fix this?

I’m currently having this issue with Microsoft Flight Simulator on the series X but I’ve had it in the past with Marvel’s Avengers, Star Wars Squadrons and Planet Coaster. Basically any game I pre-loaded either through gamepass or a preorder.

But why can i buy the games on smartglass with my Gamertag on Switzerland?

The real Problem is no Preload in Switzerland, then Sunset Overdrive and CoD Advanced Warfare will be avaiable at Launch in Switzerland.

But why let Microsoft people in Switzerland dont preload the Games?

I can set my Xbox One on Austria and Download the Games with my Switzerland Gamertag, but this should not be normal. Normal should be Preload my Games on Xbox One with setting Switzerland.
