Why doesn't Microsoft's first party studios make more exclusives?

I recently saw the list of microsoft first party studios and I thought wow most of these studios haven't made any quality exclusives. It seems like all of the xbox exclusives except halo gears and forza are made by third party studios. I think this is something
microsoft needs to do differently.

@snoopy Id say 80% of sony's first pary studios havent announced what they are working on, and microsoft's first party have nothing on sony's first party studios.

And sony's first party are alot better then microsoft's.

Which is why I asked. I know about the Order, Infamous, and Uncharted. Nothing else.

 

But thats how it works now.

If Microsoft buy a studio it is a lot of risk. The game will either a be a success or a flop.

They would rather work with third party or second party studios so that if the game does turn out to be a flop they can just stop working with them straight away.

Makes more sense at the moment to do that. Sony are also doing the same thing I believe.

 

I think we need more exclusives on Xbox.

I hope they also make more games to mix Xbox and PC gamers.

Fable Legend was made for that but now that its dead I wonder where they are going now.

 

"Ryse" is still a better exclusive than anything on the PS 4 and that was an XBox ONE launch title.

I have "Tomb Raider" for "Uncharted" and "Dark Souls III" for "Bloodborn" and "Lego: Star Wars" for "No Man's Sky" (sheesh, has anyone looked at the recent gameplay footage for that? What happened there)?!?!?!?!

 

Ryse is better than any PS4 exclusive? Seriously, try seeing past your Xbox branded colon. What an idiot.

 

^That made me laugh as well. I literally almost spit up the water I was drinking.

 

The thing is Az has never played any PS4 exclusives to compare them. Had he played the likes of UC4 or Bloodborne he'd see how ridiculous the TR and Souls comparisons are. The Ryse statement is just bizarre.

The thing is his blind Xbox worship prevents him from playing some of the best games out there, sad really. As a self claimed fan of Japanese games he's missing out on some great titles like Akiba's Trip, Astebreed, Onechanbara Z2 etc. Not to mention upcoming
exclusives like Nioh from Team Ninja and Nier 2.

Must be awful to limit your gaming to Xbox only due to some unfathomable brand loyalty.

All these to name a few are xbox one exclusives either only on xbox one or only on xbox one as in xbox one is the only console the game is on and this list is better than the ps 4 exclusive list. microsoft are building there first party libaray nicely sony
on the other hand is who your question should be directed at because they are just throwing money at third parties rather than making games

 

Apart from Forza, Halo and Gears you just listed a bunch of 3rd party games.

 

I agree, we definitely need a lot more exclusives. The only one that I can think of that is coming soon is ReCore. All the rest like "Cuphead", "Gears of War", and "Crackdown 3" don't really excite me much. PS4 is getting No Man's Sky and Horizon.

 

no mans sky is nothing special, the more i look at it the more bland and uninteresting it is becoming.
