Why does Xbox support never respond to users in this forum?

It's like this:

User: I'm having this issue <meticulously details issue and all troubleshooting steps>

Other user: Me too, I also tried <these things>

Other user: Me too, I also tried <these things>

Other user: Me too, I also tried <these things>

...some period of time...

Other user: Me too, I also tried <these things>

Mod: This thread is old, please make a new one. <Thread locked>

Why does this story sound familiar? Did you have another post a few weeks ago?

Did support respond to that thread?

 

Does Support ever respond to these?

The software company that runs most of our computers, can't keep these simple games running? I don't understand how this game can crash during or after 1 daily achievement puzzle. Or days completed just disappear. Or every 10 to 15 seconds of ad changes
the game lags or temporarily freezes.

Microsoft, your supposed to be the biggest software company with the most experience. How can we depend on you to handle our everyday computer lives when you cannot keep this simple game running smoothly?

 

There are only a small handful of Support agents on these forums. The majority of the helpful replies people receive are from gamers such as yourself or myself.

Unfortunately not everyone can solve every issue. If this is the case you should try contacting phone support for further assistance.

As for threads being locked, the reason for that would be because the thread is extremely old (anywhere from 6-8 months to years old). In that particular case a person should really create a brand new thread to get assistance.

I'd like to reiterate what onyx said there - there is only a handful of agents.

Threads are locked if they become old, or users are told to create their own thread if it is not possible to verify that they are experiencing the same issue caused by the same thing. In this case, it's easier to provide tailored support to each specific
user in their own thread.

I hope you understand that these measures are in place so that the best possible support can be provided to all.

If you do still have concerns about the thread being locked, feel free to link to the thread in question here and someone can have a read over it to give a more detailed explanation.

 

Locking the thread is never appropriate. Users continue to discuss items amongst themselves and sometimes need to address other users about specific issues and workarounds discussed in the thread that would be difficult to precisely do in a new thread. Besides,
the only threads I ever see locked are about issues users are screaming about with no response from Microsoft.
