    Why Does Xbox One Sometimes a Full Boot?


    Gentlemen, good morning!

    Usually when I am playing a game, I press "X" (home) button, turn off my console and, when I turn on again, just continue EXACTLY where I left.

    But sometimes when I turn the console on, it does a full boot (green screen with loading dots, then xbox logo on black screen, then home screen) and the game has to load all over again, recovering from last saved checkpoint.

    Anyone knows why? I didn't find a pattern here...

    log in and internet connecting

    quite often when system is turned on it wont log account in, and when it does you have to do a full system restart for the internet to connect, and sometimes twice. any ideas, xbox one x

    Yeah, it seems to have moved to full headsets as opposed to just the mic and an earpiece. I for one enjoy the full headset, although it does get hot sometimes.

    When I re-boot my console it will sometimes re-boot normally then other times the troubleshoot screen will pop up with a error code, I have tired a soft, hard, and Full factory reset, yes so far only in these games

    no, you cannot dual boot on the xbox one.

    you will get the xbox version of windows 10, and you will not be able to boot to a separate partition to launch a full blown windows 10 OS.

    That is a very good point and is why I chose the 0 weight shoes to enchant. I am looking for a 0 weight pair of gloves but have not found those yet either. I wear dragonscale armor (light) and have the zero weight perk with light armor so swapping out
    the boots does add the weight of the boots to inventory but the +28lbs buff on the shoes easily compensates for the 2lbs (from memory) of the dragonscale boots so I still get +26lbs.

    Now if we could just control what our companions wear, I could make her wear the shoes instead of dragonscale boots for another 26lbs carry cap on her.

    Xbox One often needs a full reboot

    I've also experienced similar issues. Primarily, the Xbox One sometimes refusing to turn on using voice in a silent room. However, using the controller will still work.

    Sometimes the Xbox will light up on the console, but not on Kinect during bootup. When that happens it never turns on my TV or cable box. I let it ride out the long bootup one time just to see if it would eventually turn on. After waiting 5 minutes, the
    Xbox powered back down. Had to use controller to boot it again, which (based on the duration) appeared to be a full boot.

    I also get frequent stuttering in the HDMI passthrough from my cable box. Hard rebooting the Xbox One fixes it, usually just for 2-3 days.

    I agree with the other posters, this OS seems like beta quality at best.
