Why does Xbox One Repair take nearly a month?

This isn't me bashing microsoft. I'm just generally curious. Sending my console off on the 30th and not having it back until (projected) the 26th is a little bit ridiculous. I really don't think it takes nearly a month (shipping included) to fix a console,
or send out a replacement. Just curious if anyone has an answer for this.

Updating email address

Why on gods green earth does it take nearly 1 month to update an email address? Surely this,at best, should be a 24 hour process?

Repairs!!

Sent my one back to Microsoft to have power supply issue fixed, been gone nearly two weeks, I'm begging someone to shine some light on how long the repair process typically takes. I NEED MY XBOX BACK!!

I would Imagine the answer to this question isn't as simple as the question posed. If you are outside the U.S. the shipping time generally is a bit longer then if you were closer to the service center. It could also be a manpower issue or a heavy backlog.
Many variables to consider here, so a definitive answer likely wont be found. I would guide you to official support for a better shot at a definitive answer.

But I live in Washington, so I assume distance shouldn't be an issue.

They take so long because tne majority of developers are lazy. If Treyarch can release a major patch for Black Ops within 2 weeks of the games launch, why does it take other developers 3+ months?

BF3 was supposed to have gotten a new patch this month but apparently they haven't finished it. It's nearly 4 months since the last one, wtf have they been doing?

Yes for repair. This is not even one month console,i cant accept repair because i didn't buy xbox to take it frome store to repair.
