Why does Xbox giveaway invalid codes

I received a message from Xbox live in my console and it says this:

""Black Friday discounts start this week! Deals will be available until Cyber Monday on 12/2/19. To celebrate, here's a £3 gift card you can use toward your next purchase: 3*********************Z Redeem on Xbox One or Xbox.com/redeemcode by 12/31/2019 and
spend within 90 days of redemption. See full terms at Microsoft.com/cardterms. Select [Launch app] to check out the sale.""

I tried to redeem the code and it says ""This token has expired and cannot be redeemed."" i tried using console, pc .

I contacted xbox support and he asked me to post a request in the forum and ask for a replace code.

So here i am asking for a replacement code.

Or a better solution.

Invalid you mean?

Ok does the code region Match your account region for example a us code but an Canadian code or UK code on a French account if so that would be why membership codes are region specific

I find it ridiculous that EA gets away with half of what it does. It has a monopoly on NHL games so why are they justified in forcing online passes on us and false promotional giveaways for preordering?

if a code says it is invalid, then it is just that Invalid. If it was already used it would say that the code was already used.

If the code does say it was already used, then you could contact Xbox Support (by Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) they might be able to give you the information. To contact Xbox Support use
http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

If the code says it is Invalid then you will have to contact the store where you purchased the code and also check if the country and region for the code matches your account and or console region.
