Why does Xbox delete my screenshots after I set as a Background??

Why It Happens:

1. File Movement vs. Copying
   When setting a screenshot as a background, the Xbox may move the file to a system-managed folder (for dynamic backgrounds) instead of creating a copy. If the original screenshot is on an external drive, this could lead to unexpected behavior (e.g., the file disappearing from your external drive if moved to the internal drive's storage).
   

1. External Drive Compatibility
   External drives formatted for Xbox storage (e.g., for games or media) might not retain files in the same way as internal storage. The system may prioritize internal storage for certain operations, leading to conflicts.
   

1. Software Glitch

How to Fix It:

1. Save Screenshots to Internal Storage First

I also have this problem. Older screenshots give me the option to Like /Share /Set as background /View game Hub

No option to save or share my newest screenshot..

Hello, Mateus. I am aware that the image may not violate the agreement but I believe you misunderstood my question. I am speaking about the set background image on the xbox home that can be accessed via setting and may be set to anything. I am questioning whether or not if there is a way to get a clear shot to screenshot the image on phone or if there is a way I may download my background.

hey guys! i have all my sharing settings open and it still does not give me the option to take a screenshot after i double tap the xbox button.

Same problem here. I wanted to change my background yesterday (previously had set another achievement art), but didn't let me. I can set screenshots and solid color as background, but no achievements (any game). Tried hard reset but no results. Help please.
