Why does this app on WIN 10 stop me from playing my games that I paid for on Steam?

i use it on steam too, but in win 10 it was bugging me, in win 11 it still does it but not as much, i think it is the game as it does not happen with any other game.

it does it with the steam version and the epic launcher version too. basically they are the same game really.

Thanks for the fast reply but this did not help me with my problem. except from the xbox beta app i have no problems playing games with my wireless xbox 360 controller on my win 10 pc. i would consider buying an xbox one controller if that would solve
the problem. does the xbox beta app (game pass for win 10) support the xbox 360 controller normally?

The reason why it doesn't work in Windows 10 Store games (UWP) is because the Dual Shock 4 isn't a Xinput device and therefore Windows itself won't see it as such. Steam has built in support for all sorts of controllers and can provide Xinput from its own
software. That's why it works in Steam but not Win 10 games.

The only way I know of is by DS4Windows, although not owning a DS4 controller I have no experience myself.

So if the cloud saves exist on the Internet and are connected to my "gamertag" why can I not do this from the Xbox app or a Win 10/11 computer on a different device and save my data I use to play the thing?

You want me to reinstall windows 10? Or what does this do? Because i ran the program, and it says it's downloading win 10. I'm not gonna do a reinstall of win 10 just for this app.
