Why does the Minecraft Xbox one server keep shutting down ?

Minecraft Xbox one server keeps shutting down while playing, its really starting make us angry, what really sucks is we can disable the auto save while playing to save later, but it does us NO good to use that feature if the server shuts the game down on
us before we can even save the game. can some one tell us why this is going on.

Why would they keep servers up for games that no one really plays anymore? As far as the saboteur goes, Im not familiar enough with how its server related content is managed. BUT, I dont see a problem with dev's shutting online servers down for games that
dont produce revenue anymore and only add maintenance costs.

 

The games are hosted on your console not on some server somewhere. It's a p2p system.

If the server shuts down then it's the hosts internet connection or console that is at fault.

 

I totally disagree my profile does not log off when this happens. Doesn't do it in any other game in fact this is a resent change because it didn't just shut down and return to main menu until the last update. This only happens in single player mode. It's
like the game times out or something. It's not my connection.

 

I'm confused. In your fist post you imply it happens in multiplayer now you say it only happens in single player mode.

I can play for hours at a time and it never happens to me.

If your console is in instant on mode then that can be glitchy causing games to crash so try holding power button for about 10 seconds until console shuts down and light on power brick turns orange. Once light is orange disconnect power for a few minutes.
This should clear any errors in RAM that may be causing glitches.

 

I'll try the shutdown trick with console and see if it works, and I never said multiplayer in my first post, when I say we or us it's in reference to me and some of my buddy's they two are having same issues. The game runs fine if we are in multiplayer mode,
but once we go to a single player mode, the game will shut down and return to main menu after 30 mins or sometimes an hour, give or take.

 

You said server shuts down which implies multiplayer. Like I said there is no server as game is on own console.

But crash to dasboard glitch is common glitch with instant on mode that can effect a lot of games.

Its also a possibility that disabling autosave could be the cause which would be why it never happens to me as I never disable it. But instant on is probably the most likely cause

 

Sorry for the miscommunication there, I tryed the shut down trick, it didn't work, it must be the glitch because I do use the instant on mode. I'll disable it today and see if it works. Also I do use the auto save but it depends on what I'm doing And how
much xp I've collected lol.

I hope disabling instant on works for you although as you've already tried a full shutdown it's possible something else may be the cause.

The reason I never disable autosave though is because I always make a copy of the save before each play session or before I do anything dangerous like going into the nether, that way if something bad happens in game I can go back.

 

Me too, I use to make copy of my world's all the time in 360 with a simple thumb drive but when xbox one came out I've put all my trust in cload. I really need to start backing up my world's again. " just in case "
