Why does Synchronising game data not appear to work for some games?

It depends, I mean. its the developer choice enable or not cross-platform progress, this is why some games doesn't sync your progress on PC and Xbox and you need to start from the scratch in one platform or the other.

Usually this is a thing with the Xbox play anywhere titles , the games with that badge let you play with your progress on PC (Microsoft Store) and Xbox consoles without problems

Post update : i've try the two solutions proposed but .... It's not working.

I've empty my xbox cache and launch the game after restart, then it crashes as usually.

And i've try to go offline, uninstall data games and "saved clouds" from the console, then go online and install game, launch it and load the synchronised data, but it still crash too after some seconds played .....

I may ask microsoft support directly if that problem come from my account.

I will stay active for tell you if i found a solution.

I had that happen shortly after I installed the update. Force closing and restarting the app (After giving it a chance to synchronise some data) a couple of times fixed it.

It also fixed a number of synchronisation issues I was having with my stats which took a couple of loads before it actually became accurate. Perhaps give that a try?

I recommend you delete your saved game data from console or some dlc that may corrupt the game that is why it does not start

Yeah, does appear to be working. Out of interest, can you transfer your campaign data back at any point? Is there a reason why you can't transfer it back to your HDD?
