    I noticed something strange today.

    Background:

    Gigabit Internet from Xfinity

    Motorola MB8600 cable modem

    Google Wifi

    I currently get about 400 Mbps sustained download speeds on speed tests from my phone and PC, which I know is about the best I can expect with Google Wifi, since it's no Netgear Orbi AX6000 setup.

    On my Xbox One X, I can see download speeds for game patches get up to around 175 Mbps (not sure why it never goes above 200). However, when I stream from my Xbox One X, download speeds tank to about 1 Mbps. I get that streaming takes SOME bandwidth, but
    it does NOT take THAT much. Even streaming 4k HDR content isn't more than 25 Mbps, at worst. I am observing these fluctuations directly in the Google Wifi app on my phone.

    Is this a bug in the Xbox software?

    There could be a bug in the Xbox software, or the Google Wifi app, or the app just isn't displaying the correct information. It could also just be that the Xbox can't handle any more than 1 Mbps while streaming to the app.

    This is a known issue and considered working as intended. The stream will eat all your network bandwidth. It's just the way this feature was designed unfortunately.

    So. My current download of "Pinball Arcade" 3.83GB is still at 10/100 speed, I have the 150MB/s internet package from Xfinity. So... If its activity dependant why does COD: AW and COD: Ghosts lag so often? I have also tried streaming media (full length
    DVD Movies) from a network attached PC and the PC is still at gigabit, the Xbox One is still at 10/100

    Hi, your internet speed is perfectly fine for streaming from xbox to pc. I've used it and it's totally reliable especially if you plan to play mainly offline games.

    Does it matter about the spec of the windows 10 device? Or does that basically just mirror the image and its the xbox doing most of the work?

    I only ask as my windows 10 device is not high spec its a hp pavilion x2 2 in 1 laptop. And it will only be used for game streaming.

    Also can i use my xbox one wirleess controller to play games im streaming on my windows device? Or would i need to buy a seperate controller?
