Why does Skyrim on Xbox still freeze every second on the menu, It’s been doing this for...

It was doing it when I first redownloaded skyrim on my Xbox, it would freeze every second without me having mods or saves. And this is a new Xbox I’m using, ( I got it a couple months ago) but from what I heard from other people the Skyrim main menu has been doing that since almost a year ago which is wild.

If you have already installed mods on the game, that could be the reason, you should try uninstalling mods first, if that doesn't work, reinstall the game and finally try this

Try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

My xbox started freezing too but not only when I saved. It happened every 3 or 4 seconds then it would jump forward again. I don't know if it is because of Skyrim or because of my Xbox. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Do you have menu sounds enabled for xbmc. Try playing an audio file in the background and see if it doesn't freeze.

It's been suggested by quite a few that if the xbox doesn't get audio about every 10 seconds from the input device, it freezes the video. I presume this was to avoid processing the signal if the device was off, or something....

Pheonix: I follow your instructions on a daily basis yet still get freezes in games. However, I don't think my xbox freezing every once and awhile is even a bad thing because I've been using it every day for the last several years. I think it's just Skyrim
to be honest. Such a buggy game. Bethesda has always been good at making those.
