    Why does my XBOX turn on when I turn my bedroom lights on?


    This has been happening randomly over the course of a year. I checked my settings and its plugged into an extension cord which is plugged into a surge protector (I think that's what its called). This never used to happen to my old XBOX. Not that it's really
    an issue, it's just creepy when I come home late at night or when I walk in my room and it just turns itself on. My TV doesnt turn itself on either. It's just the XBOX. Just curious if this happens to anyone else and what may be causing it.

    Its temporary. It was plugged into the surge protector, however I had joint custody of it with my ex and it was a hassle to keep trying to move my dresser and feed the cords behind everything. Now that its mine, it will be happily plugged directly into
    the wall when I mount my shelves. šŸ˜

    I don't know how to fix that problem but what bugs me is your console shouldn't be plugged into all those things. At most console to surge protector to outlet in the wall.
