Why does my XBox Series X make like a vibrating/grinding noise when i install disc games?

This has never been an issue for me until today. I was reinstalling COD MW2 and when I was doing that like a grinding/vibrating noise happened...Like I said never has this been an issue for me. I did have a disc in the drive and didn't use it for maybe a month and a half? Should I been worried about this or is this just going to a be annoying type of issue?

Does all other disc have this or specifically only this one? Usually you don't have to be worried about it but if it makes that vibrating noise continuously for all discs then that would make me worry.

Depends what noise it is you are talking about.

The Xbox One will make more noise while installing from a BluRay as it is spinning the disc at high speed to install the game.

Once installed, the game runs from the HDD and the disc is used for security authentication at boot up. That is why it is quiet when playing games.

So if the noise was a loud whirring, then that is normal during install. If it was anything else like grinding noise, that isn't normal.

Any sort of grinding noise is not a good sign. Arrange a repair or replacement.

I had to replace a Series X that had a grinding disc drive just 6 months after I purchased it.

my xbox makes a noise when i insert a disc sometimes that sounds like a phone vibrate or something and then the disc won't read but if you take it out and put it in a few times eventually it works
