    Why does my Xbox randomly crash games?


    So this has been an ongoing issue with my series S and now my series X. I'm goin to try and explain the best way I can.

    There have been a number of games (hogwarts legacy, exoprimal, back 4 blood, and others) where I'll be in the middle of a match, gameplay, etc and the Xbox just crashes back to the home screen. A few times the screen will "glitch" then freeze and crash. All my games I play are digital and updated. Just today playing exoprimal, it has crashed twice while yesterday I play and never had an issue. What's weird is there are some games that never have this issue (ie rocket league.) So that's why it's hard for me to trouble shoot because I don't know if it's the game or the system. This has become such an ongoing issue I almost tossed my Xbox out my front door.

    Are there any solutions to this problem?

    I'm a Independent Advisor. I will be glad to help you.

    It is quite strange that this happens to you on two different consoles with several games, we can not assume that it is a problem of the games because it happens to you in several and no problems have been reported with them, I would recommend you try to connect the consoles to another outlet and perform a reset to rule out that it is a software problem.

    Go to Settings>System>Console Information

    And restart keeping your games.

    Note that the console accounts will be removed, so you will need to have the email and password for each account to log back in.

    Your progress, achievements, purchases and other data will remain intact, don't worry about that, you won't lose any data, the only thing you need to do is to log in again.
