    Hello, so I have an Xbox one x and it will not get over 24mbs download speeds I have 1200mbs internet and it is connected through wifi but I also have an Xbox series x in the same room maybe 5 feet away and it gets about 10x the download speed also on wifi. This wasn't always an issue my xbox one x used to get better speeds any help would be appreciated

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    According to Xbox Support: “ If your console is connected to your home network via a wireless connection, the console may be competing with other wireless devices or other wireless networks. If possible, try connecting your console to your home router through a wired connection.”

    Xbox one is horrible

    I always get a much greater download speed on my Xbox One than I do on my PS4 or my Switch. Only my PC gets better download speeds out of all of the formats that I use. Sorry to hear that you're having issues though, if you've only got slow speeds on your
    Xbox and not on other devices then you may have some network connectivity issues.

    I'm the opposite. My PS4 downloads faster than my X but slower than my original One.

    cleared*. Is it the USB drive that's failing or maybe my download speed. My download speed on my computer is 21 mb/s but does that translate over to my xbox? Cause the download is going fairly slow.

    It does matter how fast your internet connection is.

    Title updates for the xbox one are massive compared to what they are for the xbox 360.

    Part of the installation time is the time it takes to download the updates. If you have a slow connection or if you are on a congested wifi channel your installation will take ages.

    It is now quite common for game updates to be hundreds of megabytes in size. On a slow connection this will cause downloads to take hours. Average update for 360 is less than 6MB. On xbox one they often over 600MB. I think BF4 was over 900MB when I last
    updated it.

    That's why I asked for your download speed. If your download speed is slow then that will be the reason. If your download speed is fast then there will be some other problem.
