Why does my Xbox One tell me a game isn't backwards compatible?

Just put the game in. If it's backward compatible then it'll play, if not the console will just tell you that the game isn't backward compatible.

If it's not backwards compatible (and this game isn't) then no, it won't work. You can view the backwards compatibility list
here. If a game is not on that list, you can't play it on an Xbox One.

If you are trying to find the game on your Xbox One X that is what the problem is.

The game Remember Me for the Xbox 360 is NOT a backwards compatible game.

This is why it is not showing up on your Xbox One X.

Until they put it on that list it will not be able to be played on Any Xbox One

Far Cry 2 and three are backwards compatible with the Xbox One, but unfortunately Far Cry 4 is not. This is why it does not show on your owned games.

Ya,i understand that part,i should have worded the question better,it's the part about fc4 not being backward compatible is what amazes me,if i wanted to play fc4 again,i would either have to buy the game again,plus the season pass,or find a power brick

Hi, FIFA 18 Legacy Edition is not backward compatible, which is why the game does not show up on your Xbox One. If you want to play the game on the Xbox One, then you will have to purchase the Xbox One version of FIFA 18. For a full list of backward compatible
