Why does my Xbox One take 30 seconds to shutdown?

Why does my Xbox One take 30 seconds to shutdown? My Xbox One always took about 10 seconds to shutdown and for the past 2 days it takes 30 seconds to shutdown...? Usually my Kinect closes first then my console and controller get white flashing lights signaling
that it's closing it will flash 3-4 times then shutdown within in 10 seconds. Now my console closes first then my Kinect and controller.......? What is wrong with my Xbox One why is it taking so long to shutdown now?? is it breaking or is this normal?? I got
my Xbox One mid March.

Whats up with these install times?

I got my new xbox one today, I am very excited to start playing! I put a game in and its taking forever to install, why? My ps4 installs games within 30 seconds. Why does the xbox one take so long? will there be an update to fix this?

 

Captures load time

Why does it take so long for captures to load when you go to watch them? It's a 30 second video nothing should ever take this long to watch 30 seconds....

 

That's normal, you are closing 3 operating systems... it all depends on what apps you have running in the background and whether you are sleeping the system (low power state) or actually shutting it down

 

Not sure. I shut mine down from the controller and it takes about 5 or 10 seconds. I don't plug in the Kinect so I'm not sure if that affects shut-down time.

 

Why do you feel the need to turn it off? My 360 has been running for 3.5 years now.

 

That's because X1 is just another PC. Soon will have app to defragment X1 disk.

 

Because it doesn't take 29 or 31 seconds to shutdown.

 

Can anyone remember the load screens on the spectrum 48k ..

5 mins to draw the picture of monty mole ... line by line .... then it would crash ....restart .

It does want you to leave.

 

It does take a while to cold start it up, and shutdown. I normally just cut power to it, but then again, it makes a harsh kind of HDD noise when I do it (a short noise just like what happens when you turn off your laptop by holding down the power button
for more than 4 seconds).

It does have 3 operating systems, and a 500GB HDD which is only a 5400rpm one. But it does have a good processor an AMD 8 core Jaguar APU. It's probably doing silent updates when you press the power button you think it's shutdown but to make sure it IS shutdown,
just cut power to it.
