    Why does my Xbox not have the Xbox app preferences settings?


    I have been trying to connect my Xbox One S to the Xbox app for a while now and it just isn't working. Enable remote features is turned on but it still won't connect. When I look in the Remote Features tab, there is no button to access Xbox App Preferences and I am worried that it might mean I can't use the Xbox app.

    Why does my xbox keep giving me the popup saying that something took too long to start?

    Every app i try to open gives me this including network settings and games and apps. It sometimes even does this at the dashboard.
    try hard restarting the Xbox if that doesn't work try to go to settings and format keep games and apps

    Hey there, SmartGlass is now called Xbox App. You can find the settings in Settings > All Settings > Preferences. "Xbox app connections"

    Can you tell us what Troubleshooting you've tried so far? It could be the router settings. Have you tried toggling the Xbox app connectivity settings on the console? Settings>Preferences>Xbox app connectivity.

    what about the setting on the xbox: make sure it set up to Preferences >
    Xbox app connectivity, and then selecting Allow connections from any device.

    also does your modem broadcast both 2.4G and 5 G
