WHY DOES MY XBOX KEEP TURNING ITSELF ON

Ive owned this xbox one for almost.2 years and have never had this.issue until this.week. A few days.ago I noticed my xbox was on when I came.home. I turned it off no big deal. Over the.past 3 4 days it keeps turning itself on and running for.hours and.hours
on end. I have no idea what is causing it ive tried the hard reset and unplug with no luck. It really became an issue about 30 mins ago when I shut my xbox down, left my tv on for about 3 mins and low and behold the xbox started itself up right before my very
eyes, controller on the table Am I being hacked? Should I worry.about my credit card info you require me to.store on my xbox? This is obviously.a security risk as well as bad for my xbox. I dont imagine it should be running.for a few days say if I dont.come
home. Its a safety hazard because you know as well as I do the xbox gets.hot. Oh..and Im sure youll reimburse me on my electric bill

EggsBoxJuan suggestion worked for me, I was having the same problem, I laid my backpack over in the corner of my room, and it was on top of my rockband guitar controller and was pressing down on the power button, so you might want to check that (if you have
one)

Thks for the advice bro. But I now feel like a total bonehead. I pulled out the adapter for the headphones which plugged into the SD output of the console and had a red and white audio jack coming out of it. And low and behold I turned it off and it didnt
turn back on. Would have never thought the adapter would have caused that. Especially with nothing plugged into it. But O well, looks like that did it. Sry for wastin your time, but appreciate the help..... I am going to plug adapter back in and see if the
problem comes back, just to confirm....

Hi, can you check your guitar hero controller? the guide button may be being pressed constantly or the batteries could be going flat, take the batteries out of the guitar controller and see if the issue persists.

Wow, i've never heard of this. Have you tried the back of the wires? Possibly the wires may not be in properly. Or maybe your Xbox Controllers are slightly broken, Because if you press the "X" on the controller it turns it on. Maybe try looking at the wires
or the controller?

Took batteries out of everything controller related. Turn off at the console, light blinks about 3 times and then turns back on. I also just thought about the headphones I got. I use hdmi output but have to use an adapter that connects into the SD output
for the Headphones. I am going to try to DC that adapter and see what happens.
