Why does my Xbox elite core 2 controller keep disconnecting from my xbox?

Firstly, I would like to ask a few questions to better understand the issue. Have you tried connecting the controller to another Xbox or device to see if the issue persists? Also, have you tried using a different controller on your Xbox to see if the issue is with the console or the controller?



However, if the issue only occurs on your Xbox, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:



1. Make sure your Xbox and controller are both up to date with the latest software updates. You can check for updates by going to Settings > System > Updates on your Xbox.



2. Try resetting your controller by pressing and holding the small button on the back of the controller for 5 seconds until the Xbox button flashes.



3. Move your Xbox and controller closer together to ensure a strong wireless connection.



4. Try using a wired connection by connecting your controller to your Xbox with a USB cable.



5. If none of the above steps work, try resetting your Xbox to its factory settings. Please note that this will erase all data on your Xbox, so be sure to back up any important data before proceeding. You can reset your Xbox by going to Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.

This did not work, I also noticed that if I shut off the XBOX One X it disconnects this controller and I have to reconnect it on startup. This does not happen with my other controllers just the Elite series 2 one.. I'll request a replacement

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your Elite 2 controller :/ Here's some questions/things you can try that might tell us more (totally understand that you probably can't try all of them):

1. Have you tried any other controllers with your Xbox and do they ever exhibit this issue (disconnecting while wireless)?
2. Does your Elite 2 controller have the same issue (disconnecting while on wireless) on other Xboxes?
3. Have you tried a hard reset on your Xbox just to rule that out?
4. Have you tried removing the batteries from the Elite 2 controller while disconnected from the cord? (like controller hard reset)
5. Have you checked to make sure the battery are seated firmly in the controller and that the back plate fits snugly?
6. Have you tried syncing your Elite 2 controller to another Xbox, and then re-syncing it back to your own Xbox?

Hopefully this will help us determine if it's your controller or Xbox that is causing the problem!

For some reason my Xbox keeps disconnecting from xbox live an controller keeps losing sync don't know what to do please help it does it randomly how to fix ?
