Why does my Xbox 360 E read discs sometimes and then doesn't or freezes?

Why is the Xbox doing this it will read the disc then won't or freezes and won't let you play ? I don't have the tools to take it apart any help please

Disc not reading

Hi, my discs aren't reading. Sometimes it reads and plays for 5~10 mins then stops and sometimes doesn't read at all when tray closed. Please help !!!!

Xbox 360 E (New One) Many many problems

I recently bought one of the new Xboxs that came out recently I believe its the E. Its the one that looks like a Xbox One. My problems are, it get extremely hot, it makes loud noises when it runs discs, it will freeze and Ill have to either unplug it or
turn it off manually, and sometimes the disc drive doesn't read discs at all.

This is actually my third Xbox 360 E. I have replaced it twice now with these issues to my local gamestop getting a new one each time. Replacing all the cords etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

All of the sudden my xbox one is having massive problems reading 3d blurays (sometimes it gets past the menu and freezes, sometimes it just locks. Testes the discs is a standalone 3d player i no longer use and the discs are fine. I read somewhere else that
this was an issue a while back but apparently it hasn’t been patched. When i first got my one S it played the 3d discs fine.

Does it run other blu ray discs ok?

Mine makes the buzzing noise sometimes but other times it does not. Either way it doesn't read discs. I'm in the same boat as you. No solution at the moment.

Thank you for the response but I have tried that before and I tried it just. Its a new disc but the disc drive still does not read it. My xbox reads my Black Ops 2 xbox 360 disc so I don't understand why it won't read my L4D2 disc which is undoubtly cleaner.
I know I need to go to my games and apps and it should pop up there, but it doesnt.

The Disc Drive Solution Didn't Help.The Xbox 360 at first made a small circle scratch around the inner ring of the disc however it does not affect the the disc as it works fine. The past year all my disc sometimes went unreadable.(more often on certain disc)
The past few months the xbox 360 started to say open tray to every game I played however after reopening for 5 minutes or less it worked. Now this month it started to take 30 minutes of reopening for the tray to work. Then it took 1 entire day of reopening
to work. Now it its been a week of reopening and it doesn't work. Im assuming its not going to read if its been a week. However when it reads the disc I can hear the certain noises like the fan and everything indicating its spinning and reading. However when
it can't read it seems like the laser is making this light swishing/swissing noise is all I can describe it. It goes open tray sometimes unrecognised disc or play DVD. When it did read my games however when I reset my console it wouldn't be able to read again
and go open tray which I had to repeat opening the tray.
