Why does my status show only ‘Home’?

I’ve noticed on my account that when I’m on Twitch, or YouTube, it doesn’t show my status online. It just shows I’m on Xbox Home. Friends have messaged me and asked why I’m just sitting on my homepage when I’m not, or they’ve messaged and asked to play something when I’m already watching something. I’ve also noticed on my friends list it applies to other people too. So I’m asking to figure out whether it’s supposed to show that my status is “Home” when I’m on Twitch or YouTube, or if this is an error. I haven’t noticed any other errors with others apps, just these two.,” we think we might have found something to help. This isn’t a huge problem but I was hoping it could be solved.

Your online profile status should show that you are in those applications, it shouldn't show that you are on startup, but unfortunately it seems to be a general problem, you can see other users reporting the same thing in this forum thread

Me and multiple other people I know are having the same exact issue, it’s been this way for months. . It’s actually annoying, wheres the update?

I came on here to see if anyone knew why i was having this Status Code problem but seems were all confused ..I think i KINDA know why im having the problem ..Not sure why but im only getting the Status Code when i connect to my phone's wireless HotSpot
(which is faster than my home WiFi so i use it to download demos etc only) i have no clue why the Status Code now because ive done that for a while with no Status Code or problems until today ..Im usually connected to my home WiFi so i switched back to
my home WiFi and the problem went away so to test this theory i went back to my phone's Hotspot and status code came back ..Hope this helps

What does your Xbox show in your NAT status? To check your NAT status go to Home > Settings > Network Settings. Your NAT type will show under ‘Current Network Status’.

If it's strict then you might not be able to join online games. You'll need to fix it in your modem/router.
